Outpatient open MRI centers, chiropractic and orthopedic group practices, claustrophobic and bariatric patients, and budget-driven open MRI deployments where capital cost matters more than current-generation features.

Open / mid-field permanent magnet
Refurbished Hitachi Airis II 0.3T Open MRI — the original Hitachi Medical Systems (now Fujifilm Healthcare) 0.3T permanent-magnet open MRI platform, built around a true open vertical-field architecture for patient comfort. The Airis II established the Hitachi open-MRI install base that the later Airis Elite refreshed with improved gradients and software. Pairs a 0.3T permanent magnet with full open patient access — no closed-bore tunnel, no helium, no cryogen logistics, no quench pipe — and a clinical coil set covering head, cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine, and large-joint orthopedic imaging. Typical clinical scope is the standard open-MRI workload: spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), large-joint orthopedic (knee, shoulder, hip, ankle), extremity, head, and routine outpatient body protocols — the cases that drive orthopedic, chiropractic, pain-management, and primary-care referrals. Common buyer use cases include outpatient open MRI centers, chiropractic and orthopedic group practices, secondary mobile open units, and international deployments where capital cost is the deciding factor. Compared to the Airis Elite, the Airis II gives up later gradient/software refinements but lands at a meaningfully lower acquisition cost — a strong fit for facilities that need a clinically capable open MRI on a tight budget. Compared to a closed-bore 1.5T, the Airis II trades field strength for true patient-friendly open access and dramatically lower operating cost. As a refurbisher and integrator, MIS handles sourcing, refurbishment, deinstall, transport, install, applications training, parts inventory, and engineer-led service.
