NEW AMRAD DRAGON Classic and DRAGON Elite portable X-ray systems from Summit Industries — lightweight portable radiographic platforms for providers who need imaging capability outside a fixed X-ray room. The DRAGON line is built for portable care providers servicing nursing homes, home-health patients, small hospitals, clinics, and any setting where the system needs to move easily between rooms, buildings, or vehicles. The DRAGON Classic is the 4kW model and operates from single-phase 110V power, using 100 mA / 125 kVp energy ranges and a dual focal spot X-ray tube. The DRAGON Elite is the 8kW model and requires 220V power for higher output capability. Techniques can be selected and adjusted at the control console or directly at the generator/tube head, and multiple collimator-light activation points let the operator stay close to the patient during positioning. Built-in self-diagnostics help protect the system when incoming power is poor by derating automatically during voltage drops. The unit’s low weight and rear transport rails make it easier to load, unload, and move between patient visits. MIS can quote DRAGON Classic or DRAGON Elite as portable analog X-ray systems or with DR retrofit/package options, including detector selection, workstation/software workflow, applications support, warranty coordination, and ongoing engineer-led service.
